East Central Illinois has a diverse mix of neighborhoods and communities ranging from rural to urban. The area attracts new residents and businesses.

Quality of Life

The service area of East Central Illinois workNet has a high quality of life where individuals and families can live, work, and play, and employers can grow.

Postsecondary Education

The five-county area is served by Parkland College and the U of I. Research parks, entrepreneurial support, and customized training are available.

Mobile Workforce Center

The Mobile Workforce Center is designed to bring career services to our service area using a classroom setting, laptops, and free WI-FI.

In 2023, our Mobile Workforce Center will be at county fairs in East Central Illinois and at other local events. Look for the Center around the region this summer and fall!
