We help employers with onboarding and upskilling grants, by listening to their workforce needs, and providing consulting on social services.
We have a grant that reimburses half the wages of a new employee for up to six months. To be eligible, the employee must not have started work.
Our training grant reimburses employers up to 90% of training expenses for current employees who have been with the company for 6+ months.
We provide no-cost consulting and support to employers who want to evaluate their onboarding and talent development strategies and add services.
Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) projects (review policy below) are an opportunity to enhance employees and employers through training. Projects should be of a high quality, provide a benefit to the employee and employer, have appropriate costs, and enhance company viability.
Projects may include one employer or a group of employers. Projects may support registered apprenticeships. Training supported by IWT funds will be for the purpose of assisting such workers in gaining skills, upgrading their job, increasing their wages, and / or averting a layoff.
